A new OTP poster from Love Like The Galaxy production team for tonight’s EP 16-17 has been released.

Tonight’s highlight would be Wu Lei’s action sequence scenes. There are so many gifs floating around of Wu Lei’s complex and powerful fighting scenes. His arm strength here once again shows why he could flip Zhao LuSi 180 degrees while some male stars have problems carrying their female stars. Series of gifs below for admiration. 🤩
EP 16: We open with ShaoShang wanting to sneak out of palace to visit her family and at the same time, with no intention to return as she wants to investigate her father’s betrayal case.
The Queen has given her token to ShaoShang so that she can get out and ShaoShang tearfully thanks the Queen like she’s never coming back. And the Queen understands her intention.
Later we found out that ShaoShang had made a fake token instead of using the Queen’s because she does not want to get the Queen into trouble.
Concurrently, Ling Buyi is fighting a war at ShouChun City and cracking his head to get into the high walls of the city. When he caught General Liang from ShouChun, he spared his life but used him to smuggle into the city.
And here we go, with the remarkable action scenes. (Not to forget the Director as well, he’s really good and getting recognition for this being his first ancient idol drama 古偶剧.)
Peng Kun, the man that Ling Buyi has been trying so hard to catch, took a stab at his chest.
And luckily we have ShaoShang’s protective vest that prevented the sword from hurting Ling Buyi. (An eagle-eyed fan zoomed in and saw the rabbit that ShaoShang embroidered!)
Ling Buyi took down the city swiftly and then he moved to TongNiu Town, knowing very well that ShaoShang would be there to investigate.
EP 17: Ling Buyi arrived at TongNiu Town and is discussing the events with Lou Yao’s older brother, who just looked like a baddie. When suddenly, news of a fire at the jail came.
Ling Buyi and his men rushed to the jail and discovered the key person who knows what happened has died. And then Ling Buyi also discovered ShaoShang, and rescued her!
Apparently, ShaoShang had purposefully gotten herself caught so that she can sneak into the jail to find clues, as she heard that the guy who knows about the betrayal of her father is also in jail. (But he has just died.)
And then we have our OTP moments where they confided to each other and how alone they are now, with Ling Buyi’s family all gone and ShaoShang’s family all in jail. ShaoShang is very worried about her father’s disappearance and both of them set out to investigate together.

Ling Buyi starring Wu Lei is #1 and Cheng ShaoShang starting Zhao LuSi is #4.
Not only did Wu Lei topped the chart again for the 26th time and breaking 9 for the 17th time as tracked by his fans, he has also broken his personal score, a new best of 9.12.
