Love Like The Galaxy: Part 2 EP 14-15

Once again, the 6 episodes for the week are done airing and the viewers are reduced to waiting for BTS to be released.

Indeed, with EP 14 & 15 being aired yesterday, this morning, the drama fans found themselves watching the BTS of the OTP’s final wrapping scene and it is none other than the OTP kissing atop the tower in Ling Buyi’s army camp (the scene below in EP 14). The director himself is also a huge fan of the OTP and he actually asked Zhao Lusi to kiss Wu Lei in this final wrapping scene which is not in the script originally. Zhao Lusi was rationalising the logic of kissing her male lead in this scene and the Director actually told her “not to be stingy” since it is the last scene. Lol! We have a lot of OTP fans, in and outside the drama.

At the bottom of this post, I am also sharing character and drama rankings for yesterday. Ling Buyi and Love Like The Galaxy on Tencent is performing very well against other dramas, and they are good dramas with greater star power (if not, equal) airing right now on iQiyi and Youku too.

Alright, without further ado, a short recap of some key scenes.

On top of solving the murder case in the last two episodes, Ling Buyi has the King and Yue Concubine combined forces to find out who is the real instigator behind it and it is Yue Concubine’s brother. And then one thing led to another, we began to find out that there is a greater conspiracy behind the fall of Gu Cheng – the city where Ling Buyi’s maternal family (family of Huo) all died to protect it. Several scenes are also underlying with a revenge tone from Ling. (I dread for this to happen.)

EP 14 opens with a cheery tone, our General Ling is out dating in the streets with Cheng ShaoShang and when she wants to buy some snacks from a popular shop, Ling Buyi actually abused his power to clear the queue so that they can buy what they want. But you know what, he actually redeemed himself when he said that he will pay for everyone that day, throwing a huge bag of money to the stall-owner. ShaoShang tried to tell the owner that he is harmless, just attention-seeking.

And then we have news of Shou Chun, a city who is going to rebel. Needless to say, Ling Buyi volunteered himself to fight the war at the expense of making the King angry. Because he fights war all year round so when is he going to find time to get marry and start a family. ShaoShang actually helped persuade the King to let Ling Buyi go.

While Ling Buyi is preparing for war, ShaoShang is busy with embroidery and started sewing for Ling Buyi. The night before Ling Buyi sets off, she dressed herself as a man and attempted to break into his camp to deliver the gift she prepared. Ling Buyi’s men actually cleared the camp for her so that she can sneak to the General’s tent successfully. And she did.

Ling Buyi caught her from behind and “threatened” to kill her as an intruder. Of course, he can’t bear to.

(Below is a series of posters from the production team, and this is also the final wrapping scene that the OTP shot.) Ling Buyi told her about the piece of land that he got for her so that they can build their home and start a family there together and grow together.

On the day he is setting off to war. (And look at the vast scenary behind Ling Buyi on horseback.)

Ling Buyi is concerned about her hands as her fingers are poked badly by the needle. Ha.

Ling Buyi thought she sewed a pair of chicken wings, but ShaoShang clarified that it is mandarin duck wings. (For Chinese, Mandarin Ducks symbolises love because they were thought to mate for life.)

Ling Buyi corrects himself and said since you said it’s mandarin duck’s, then it is mandarin ducks. ShaoShang hopes that having the pair of wings on him will remind him that he has a fiance waiting for him and he will think twice before risking his life. Next, she told him about the rabbit she embroidered and he just thought it was a mouse. Lol! Again, he corrects himself and said yes it is a rabbit.

And then before he sets off, he threw his personal seal to ShaoShang.

After he is gone at war, ShaoShang’s family is thrown into jail because her father General Cheng is suspected to steal and then betray the King. ShaoShang has no choice but to kneel in the rain and asked for a chance to explain to the king. The King said he is going by the book and will send men to investigate. ShaoShang is also grounded in the palace, and not to go anywhere.

The next episode will be adventurous where ShaoShang is going to sneak out of palace and find out the truth about her father’s disappearance.

Finally, am sharing some goodies below:

Wu Lei posted about his unique wings 🙂

Wu Lei as Ling Buyi hitting the #1 spot with a score of 9.11
Zhao LuSi as Cheng ShaoShang hitting the #2 spot with 9.08
Their personal best since the drama started airing.

Wu Lei’s fans keeping track of the no. of times he hit #1 and breaking the score 9 in the comments section. Apparently breaking 9 is a big deal. Thus this is Wu Lei’s 23rd time hitting #1 and 15th time breaking 9. Very impressive indeed. Note: Wu Lei is just second to Xiao Zhan for 2022.
