We are already at Week 4 of Who Rules The World, meaning EP 27 – 34 will screen this week, from yesterday Sunday to coming Wednesday for Tencent VIPs.
Last night EP 27 – 28: there was huge progress on the story plot when Feng LanXi Second Prince of Yong State’s dual identity as YinQuan ShuiXie’s leader/owner Hei FengXi got discovered by King of Yong State, his father. It was disastrous as the Yong King fly into a huge rage, had Feng LanXi beaten and given a cup of wine that will ‘dissolve’ all his Kungfu/internal strength learnings. Feng LanXi also had to surrender YinQuan ShuiXie’s control to his father Yong King, as the network behind that intelligence society is so vast that owning it means owning the half the world.
*I didn’t expect the plot to go there.
Feng LanXi was in a coma for three days and Bai FengXi was there to take care of him. And when he woke up, he admitted it was a relief to come clean with everything, including pretending to be sick and hiding his real intent. So now he can really be himself.
Next, his father Yong King wants to send him to State of You representing Yong to ‘bid’ for Princess Hua ChunRan’s hand. (For lack of a better word, all the princes from various states are going to bid/vie for Princess ChunRan’s hand in marriage as her father asked openly for the best man to marry his daughter.)
*I wonder what other surprises will we have.
Update: EP 29 – 30 was pretty much about Princess Hua ChunRan choosing her future husband.
Princess Hua ChunRan actually likes Hei FengXi/Feng LanXi over Huang Chao but Feng LanXi admitted defeat over the chess game thus the King of You declared that Huang Chao won the princess’s hand in marriage.
On Tuesday, EP 31 – 32 is where we see a few plot movements.
Feng LanXi finally confessed his love successfully to Bai FengXi, after failing a few times previously.
It’s time they are together. (Took us 30 episodes to get here.)
They depart for Tian Shuang Sect together. Feng LanXi gave up all that he has to his father, the Yong King, including the last connections of YinQuan ShuiXie.
At Tian Shuang Sect, Bai FengXi is happy to reunite with her teacher and all and her teacher is happy that the two lovebirds Bai FengXi and Feng LanXi are finally together. (Same here.)
Yu WuYuan came visiting Tian Shuang Sect too, trying to find out how much Teacher Bai knows and WuYuan is not happy because Teacher Bai knows too much.
The next thing we know, the day Teacher Bai was supposed to go into recluse, he was found dead in his room by his daughter, Bai LangHua. Immediately LangHua accused Bai FengXi of murdering Teacher Bai, simply because she was the last one who visited Teacher Bai. (This plot point does not make sense at all!)
Feng LanXi/Hei FengXi is anxious over the accusations and wants to protect Bai FengXi. But Bai LangHua sneaked an attack from behind and stabbed Bai FengXi from the back.
Hei FengXi quickly carried the seriously injured Bai FengXi away to safety. They arrived at a broken-down house and Hei tried to save Bai. He took out the rare flower LanYin BiYue that they got from TaiYin Elder as the rare flower is said to have magical healing powers.
Before letting Bai eat it, Hei tested a petal from the flower itself and miraculously he revived his inner strength from it. (A surprising plot point!)
And then Hei FengXi dissolved the rare flower into a bowl of medicine and tried to fed it to Bai FengXi but she’s in a coma.
Therefore, Hei FengXi has no choice but to fed her mouth-to-mouth instead. And then it’s a waiting game, we wait for Bai FengXi to wake up. It took her three days to wake up (too!). When she is awake, Hei is so glad that she appears to be recovering well.
And then the two of them started investigating the death of Teacher Bai.
Wednesday, EP 33 – 34, to end this week, we have the 3rd Prince of Yong State revolting, his mother Bai Li Shi was found to have poisoned Princess YiGe, the mother of 2nd Prince Feng LanXi years ago thus she is sentenced to end her own life, and finally the Yong King admitted that Feng LanXi is the only successor left to inherit his State.
*The plot points of the story is not making much sense as we progressed. Nevertheless, I still enjoy the adventures of Hei Feng Bai Xi in the martial arts world more than the political affairs between the States, and so I wished we have more of them in their second identities of being Hei FengXi and Bai FengXi.
