Cheng Yi is here to join the summer drama galore, his c-drama Mysterious Lotus Casebook <莲花楼> is going to air on July 23rd on iQiyi and he made a little promo video on his Weibo account where he invites people to go up the staircase with him. Along with the other cast members, most of them did a similar video too. The Chinese name of Mysterious Lotus Casebook is literally Lotus Storey, like a storey of a building, thus the rationale for his/their promo videos.
This summer, we have so many c-releases and from top stars too, and from the last post of July airings, there was a drama Legend of An Le <安乐传> by Dilraba that was released too, the others I ain’t so aware.
Back to Mysterious Lotus Casebook, this drama centers around three male leads, Cheng Yi as Li LianHua/ Li XiangYi the titular character, and also Zeng ShunXi as Fang DuoBing and Xiao ShunYao as Di FeiSheng. There’s only one female lead (as they advertised), Chen DuLing as Qiao WanMian. The others are mostly support roles. It will arrive tomorrow and so we shall see how it will rank in the charts.
