Single’s Inferno (2021)

I never knew a dating reality show can be exciting, thanks to the choices that they have to make in order to flee Inferno and go to Paradise where “meat” (literally meat, good food) is waiting for them, lol.

Single’s Inferno is from South Korea, and trust them to find the hottest and fittest contestants for this dating reality show – this was my first impression when I started the show.

We begin with 5 guys and 4 girls, each one very different actually, on Inferno, an island that does not seemed very well-equipped with modern facilities. Their washroom is make-shift and they have to cook for themselves with limited ingredients. In general, most supplies are limited, even drinks. And even where they sleep looks like a makeshift tent too.

On Inferno, they are not allowed to reveal their ages and occupations – which is similar to the China dating reality show – the Inferno’s singles can only reveal their biodata when they are in paradise.

Somewhere along EP 5, things start to get very interesting when it’s obvious two guys Kim Hyeon-joong and Choi Si-hun are after Song Ji-a and we get a very lonely Moon Se-hoon who is the only one who didn’t get to go to Paradise at least once because his choice Shin Ji-yeon every-time doesn’t choose him back. LOL.

So when it is Moon Se-hoon’s turn to go Paradise after a mud-fight, people are generally more attuned with it. And by now, we have new contestants joining, 2 girls and 1 guy, joining the deserted island. Well, all I have to say is that his choice is jaw-dropping and relentless.

It’s a good watch on Netflix, if you are in for some hot bods and interesting choices. I still find the contestants too pretty for being a “reality” show.
