Two new posters in one day and we also have two special clips featuring the leads, basically how the director view the two actor/actress: Bai Lu the very lively girl and Ren Jialun the quiet and sunshine boy. Wish I can share the clips here but they are on Weibo at the moment. Soon fans will be circulating them on IG (if you follow fan accounts on IG).
We continue with EP 21 & 22 – Shi Yi woke up and Zhou Wenxin insisted to visit her – it’s a teary and “give each other a hug” scene.
Zhousheng Chen just couldn’t have a break, so timely, his maternal grandmother fell sick so he had to rush to her to look after her. He spent the night looking after her before returning home. (That’s two nights of non-sleep!)
By the time Zhousheng Chen reached home, it was morning already and he insisted that Shi Yi eat something. She said that she will if he were to sleep with her for a while. It’s pretty obvious he hasn’t slept at all and napped all the way til night time.
The next morning, Chen-Shi couple went to visit maternal grandmother but she couldn’t recognise Shi Yi anymore. Sad.
That evening, the couple is just spending time together, when Zhousheng Chen’s stepmother’s butler came and invite them for tea the next day. Both of them were puzzled why.
So while having tea with Zhousheng Chen’s stepmother, his stepmother reinforced on the idea that Shi Yi is not suitable for the Zhou family. But the couple doesn’t heed.
And then we have Zhou Wenxin falling sick and needing an operation on her heart. At her bed, she told Zhousheng Chen to leave the family and to bring Shi Yi along with him, away from the Zhou family. Zhousheng Ren then came at this time and broke the news that Shi Yi isn’t feeling too well either. Zhousheng Chen rushed back to Shi Yi’s side.
Zhousheng Chen made arrangements to bring Shi Yi back to Shanghai to recuperate. When she woke up, she told Zhousheng Chen that she had a dream about her past life, and that she did not drink the “meng po” soup, hinting that she could remember her past life. (Meng po soup is served to the dead souls to forget the past and to move to the next life with a clean slate.)
Though Shi Yi recovered, Zhousheng Chen still took leave to accompany her and take care of her. So he goes to the supermarket every day at 2 o’clock for groceries and the security guard mistakenly thinks that he’s unemployed. Haha. At night, they go for walks at 8 o’clock.
Next thing we know, Zhousheng Ren brought the entire gang to visit Shi Yi and Zhousheng Chen in Shanghai. Maternal grandmother, Lian Sui, Lin Fei and Shi Yi’s cousin Shi Yuanyuan all came and they insisted on staying the night. The guests took the bedroom and living room, while the Chen-Shi couple sleep in the study room. Shi Yi confessed her love to Zhousheng Chen and he replied that they will marry properly in November. (His way of confessing back his love to her).
