That Love Comes: Episode 7-8

Episode 7: The “Sweet” Moments

Summer rushed into the store, looking flustered and out of the blue, asked for lemon beer. He was chided by Yuanyuan for asking to buy beer at such a moment. And then he quickly changed the topic and asked if Leaf would like to join him in photographing. (My first favourite scene as Joe Cheng does this scene so well – he’s like a boy facing the girl that he likes but not knowing what to do, so he cooked up an excuse with the beer, and then by the way asked the girl if she wanted to be his assistant since he is going out to do photography anyways.)

He sighed a huge relief when she nodded her head. All the facial expressions here are so cute!

Well, they had a great time in the park, and besides catching a robber, all I have to say is that we got our first REAL KISS in this episode.

They ran to avoid the rain and came to this house’s gate and then Summer tried to shield Leaf from the splashing waters from an incoming vehicle and there suddenly they had this urge to KISS each other in the rain! (Why, this reminds me of Seung Jo’s kiss of confession to Ha Ni in Playful Kiss! Though the context with which the kiss happens is quite different.)

We have got two great moments in this episode: boy asking the girl out shyly, boy kissing the girl hotly.

Episode 8: Enemy

Summer brought Leaf to work with him, showing her how it is like to be at a real shoot.

Flora mocked at Leaf’s name, saying that leaves are usually used to decorate the centre-piece flower. And then we got our first big break in this show with the episode ending – Summer announced in front of his working crew to Flora that Leaf is his girlfriend. Flora is aware of Leaf getting closer to Summer. She went to the convenience store to show her presence and lets known to Leaf how close she was with Summer. (Notice the tense here: WAS close but not anymore.)

Now, ain’t too nice of a coincidence that all three leads’ names are so corresponding of their role in the drama, having flowers and fallen leaves in this particular summer.
